Today we moved two raccoons from our place to a more suitable location, about 22 miles away. Raccoons are not native to this area and would have had a tough go through the winter. Also, they are known to be a nuisance, since they have big appetites and are not shy to make themselves at home in a human-built structure. We are certain they will be much happier at a lower elevation and with more available to eat.

Great blog. Life at altitude in the Centennial Valley. Great stuff here! Like the pass cameras links.
