A Christmas Tree Story

Question: What happens when moose eat the tree at your back door?

Answer: You just let them eat it!

Then the tree becomes your Christmas Tree the next winter...

The suspects: The moose family who frequented our back door last winter:

The Tree: Spruce tree at right (foreground) with branches all the way to the ground in early December 2020. It is admittedly growing too close to the cabin.

The tree in what we call "mid-munch".

Now completely munched to "moose-level". Notice the moose tracks in the snow.

And finally, we put this tree to use indoors this year as our Christmas Tree. Next year, we will enjoy its warmth one last time as firewood.
